Legal Advice and Bail 

If you are detained you are entitled to a 30 minute session of free legal advice in the Immigration Removal Centre. This is called the Detention Duty Advice Scheme; you will need to put your name on a list in the centre. Ask other detainees, welfare staff or library staff how to access the list. 

• Bail For Immigration Detainees (BID) visit this website for useful information on how to access bail. BID also produce an information book which is free to detainees, How to Get out of Detention, and should be available in the library of the IRC.
