Fast Track Processes Suitability List

Any claim may be fast tracked where it appears after screening to be one that may be decided quickly, whatever the nationality of the claimant, subject to the qualifications set out below. The duty co-ordinator identifies cases suitable for Fast­ Track Track processing at either Oakington or Harmondsworth.

Not currently accepted. Not claims based on membership of an ethnic minority i.e. no one who claims to be a member of the Ndebele tribe, since they have been deemed to constitute a minority in Zimbabwe. This will also apply to most other tribes in Zimbabawe other than

the majority Shona.

 

NSA: claimants from the countries on the designated NSA list at section 94 of the Natior_alir_v, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 are subject to the Non­ suspensive Appeals procedure.

 

 

UNSUITABLE CASES FOR FAST TRACK PROCESSES

 

1)        Pregnant females of 24 weeks and above.

2)        Any medical condition which requires 24 hour nursing or medical intervention.

3)        Disabled applicants, except the most easily manageable.

4)        Anybody identified as having an infectious/contagious disease.

5)        Anybody presenting with acute psychosis, e.g. schizophrenia and requiring hospitalisation.

6)        Anybody   presenting   with physical and/or   learning disabilities requiring 24 hour nursing care.

7)        Unaccompanied minors.

8)        Age dispute cases where the applicant's appearance does not strongly suggest that he/she is over 18.

9)        Any case which does not appear to be one in which a quick decision can be made.
